Lexi seems to be adapting well to the school routine. Yesterday there was a slight SNAFU when the bus pulled up to her stop in the afternoon. Stefan, Abby, and I were waiting as we saw kids streaming from the mammoth bus but Lexi did not appear. Finally, the bus driver turned to sit down and drive off to the next stop. Stefan stopped her and climbed aboard concerned that Lexi hadn't made it on the bus at all. A quick scan of the bus and Stefan spotted Lexi in the fifth seat staring blankly. He pointed to her and she snapped out of her daze. Evidently she didn't realize she was home. Silly girl!!!

Today, the bus transition was much smoother. She was actually the first one off this afternoon professing, "I didn't forget!" as she got off the bus.

Also, today while she was at school I registered her for her first season of soccer. Games will begin in September and the season will rap up the first week of November. This should be interesting. I have to get her shin guards and a practice ball. Who knew there are different sizes of soccer balls? Having never played before I didn't know this, but apparently it's true. More on this later.

Tonight she starts her new tap/ballet class at The Woodstock School of Ballet. This is something she enjoys so she is looking forward to.
