Lexism of the week

A couple of nights ago, Lexi's Uncle Faron called to speak with her during her winding down ritual at bedtime. While I was in the hallway folding laundry all I could hear coming from her room was a very vague-sounding voice saying, "What did you say? What did you say?" Over and over again.

I looked in her room to see her staring blankly at the TV with the phone to her ear saying, "What did you say?"

Finally I asked Lexi, "Are you paying attention."

Without changing her vague voice she said, "No" very matter-of-factly.
