Stefan's had a rough proxy season - the worst since the first year we were together. Needless to say, since his birthday falls dead center in it, celebrations must occur only when his work schedule allows. Well, his big 30th was Friday, but there wasn't a chance for any celebrations until today. He actually got a day off. We dropped the girls off at his parents' house and enjoyed a lovely dinner at my favorite restaurant. Why mine? I don't know, it was his suggestion.
He's exhausted and both of us are kind of down with a cold right now, so he's in bed trying to get some rest. Tomorrow he is going to be out doing his lawn work with a new helper. He's excited about the new help. For one, this guy speaks English, so training him on the equipment and whatnot will be much easier. I haven't seen him this excited about a helper in a looooong time. That is a good thing.
