Yesterday, I took the girls shopping for Abby's birthday (sshhhh...don't tell Abby). While we were going through the store, Lexi kept asking for this and that. I said no many times only getting her one frivolous item. Then she got the brilliant idea to start asking for things for HER birthday. Her birthday is in October. I tried to explain that her birthday is still 5 months away, but this didn't phase her one bit.
She said, "Remember the things I showed you in October for MY birthday then. Okay, Mommy?
Yah, right. As if I'll remember the 100 things she asked for then...and that there won't be at least 100 more things she asks for between now and then. Kids!
